Heart Girth
Measure around the body just behind the front legs and shoulders (where girth is greatest).

Body Length
Measure from the point of the shoulder (front) to the pin bone (rear point of pelvis).
Range: 80–280 cm
Range: 80–250 cm
Note: Formula based on Schaeffer's method, the most reliable tape-measure technique for cattle (±5–10% of scale weight). Accuracy improves with a calm, standing animal measured on level ground.
